*part 2 of school day*

Lex got home awhile ago and i've already taken pictures and downloaded.. NO.. i'm not a slacker mom, Quin was in a nap, so that's why they are downloaded. Now, the girls have Hannah Montana blaring in their room and are dancing everywhere.. its super cute and i'd post a video but blogger doesnt let me download my videos.. Boo on them.. i'm sure i'm just blonde and am doing something wrong. i'm sitting at lex desk in her room.. ( she's set up the camera and is recording herself dancing.. PRICELESS!)

i got some cute pictures of her getting off the bus, etc.. BUT she had a nametag on, and i'm not all about the psychos trackin us down, so for our saftey, new pictures were taken.

I found this little craft in her bag-- she explained that she did this AFter they do the pledge of allegiance, which by the way they do daily here- Another reason YOU would want to move here! (ok, she's now watching the video of herself she just made.. )

.. oh goodness.. the dog has just confiscated the rice cake the baby was just eating for snack.. at least i have THE DOG as a vacuum since the other one is in ATLANTA! -- found a dyson on sale for 399, should i buy it?!

Today is such a monumental day, yet she's been in school for now 4 years with her 2 of pre-school. The only difference is this is a full day! i wanted to be on the ball with the pictures and post them right away.. you are all still sleeping i'm sure, its only 6:30 there! ( except for DAD)

7 am came WAY too fast today, i think i hit snooze 3 times-- I gently tapped lex and woke her up, and signaled for her to be quiet since Quin was still sleeping. She immediately got dressed and was her usual self .., when she gets nervous, she talks.. A LOT.. i dont know if my mind could process it all so early in the morning, but i ACTED calm. Shoot, i think i was more nervous for her than she was!!!

She didnt want breakfast due to her nerves, so she ate a granola bar- heaven forbid i take her to school because she's been DYING to ride the bus for a year now---- remember i'm a GERM FREAK so it takes alot for me to think outside of the germs and let her ride. I followed the bus so i could get pictures for ya'll --

No home made lunch for her today, she wanted hot lunch..
All of a sudden i'm feeling a little sad.. She wasnt sad at all, no crying, nothing... just makes me feel good knowing i've raised an independant child with confidence!!

shoot, i've already done dishes, laundry, and run to the Dr. office for immunization records, i'm TIRED.. i think its time for a nap!

last Day of Summer!!

Today:

We went to church, then had lunch at P.F. Changs.. its only

15 min away from us- - - you're jealous, huh? Quin found another brotha to flirt with, i'd say in his mid 50's.. she's ruthless with the flirting and lex tell the guy :" sorry she just really likes to flirt with men."

since Lex is starting school tomorrow, we needed to find her some cute little dress shoes. (little sidenote, have you seen the adorable GAP shoes for girls for fall?! http://www.gap.com/ SUPER cute, and i dont think they are pricey at all!) So, on our quest in and out of stores to find her shoes, what does every good parent do, but buy themselves something.. YES!! i'm guilty as charged, but hear me out. I have A TON of jeans from working at the boutique, but hello, The trouser pant is in for fall and i NEED some!! they are a staple! And apparently since i've moved here, i've dropped a pant size ( SA- WEEEET!) so bought a 27! YES! AFter searching everywhere for shoes, we found some cute little black patent leather shoes for lex.. we'll keep looking, they really dont do it for me.. i'm really getting the urge to log onto Gap, and order her the jean skirt and the hot PINK patent leather knee high boots!!!!!

As we were leaving, after a few hours, Dude, our mall rocks, ok.. ( they have MAC at macy's here!) we were walking out, and luke asked if he could go into Abercrombie.. Uh.. he's NEVER bought anything there, i think they are WAY overpriced, but hello, the place smells like mens cologne and there are hot pictures everywhere in there, so why would i say no?! (p.p.s- have you noticed how racy their adds have gotten?!, and what other store would carry shorts for girls that are a 00! that's a double zero-- i call that, "eat a sandwich") Anyways,.. back to luke shopping. He's always loved the fun plaid shorts. OUT HERE THEY ARE COOL, ok.. so back off.. he found these neat ones for 59- too spendy. BUT they were on sale, so he bought 2 pairs. They rang up for only 42 for both pairs -- S-C-O-R-E!!!

So.. we all did a little school shoppin ;)



Quin tin- tin had a rough day.. she's been really fussy and whiny all day.. i cant figure out what's wrong with her, but its out of the ordinary for her to complain so much. Growing pains, maybe? But i'm seriously tired and ready for bed.. its only 8:45, i'm so old!!

I scream, you scream, we ALL scream!!..

Guess what?! NO DRAMA today at our house!! yessssss.. so low key, everytime i cleaned up, i would turn around and it looked like a tornado had gone thru it.. uh, enough to give me a migrain, but i just let it go.. and it still looks like that! i slept in, luke and quin took a few hour nap and then we went to the pool- no excitement, so you get cutesy pictures instead..

we went to ice cream the other night and quin got a free one.. she's never had her own cone before so this was a treat!! i let her be as sloppy, and messy as she wanted. She was so quick to eat her cone- i think it was a record 10 min, if that!! And of course, miss piggy tried eating her sissys after she'd eaten all of hers!!


This was a by chance shot.. i look ridiculous always taking pictures, but because i do i get the fun rare ones like this where they are both looking the same, but in different directions!
tomorrow is lexi's LAST official day of summer!!!! School starts Monday- do i feel cheated on my summer.. Ummm.. yes.. but, she's in school for 7 hours, so my mind will be able to rest without all of that NON-STOP talking..

I SWEAR THE DRAMA FOLLOWS ME!!!!!!
IS MY LIFE EVER CALM?! no.. of course not!

Last night i was waiting for luke to get home.. he's usually quiet when he comes home cause the girls are sleeping- - - he freaking comes crash, boom, banging through the door, and BUSTS thru our bedroom door, yelling, CALL 9-1-1, there is a fire in the bush in front of our house. ( now as most of you know.. we're chillin like villains in an apt until our house sells. p.s. we got on offer today that we accepted!).. p.p.s, dont worry for me.. the apt is super cute and not in the ghetto- cause ya'll know if it was you would have heard about it by now..

... ANYWAYS.. i call 9-1-1 and let them know there is a fire outside of the complex-- not having yet seen it myself. Meanwhile, luke is running around like an aimless chicken with his head cut off looking for a bowl for water.. (he's not good under an emergency situation, imagine what my labors were like, he's a mess!)
oh, did i mention it was SUPER SUPER late out and EVERYONE was sleeping?! i go outside to see this fire, smoke everywhere.. its just luke and i out there and i start laughing and i say: "is there ever a day there isnt drama in our lives?!" the fire dept comes.. (i know what you're thinking.. the fire fighter boyfriends in OR FIFTY times hotter!!) and i told luke before they got there there was NO possible way for this bush to catch on fire unless some bright idiot threw his cigarette in it.. There were cig. butts everywhere in the bush area.. meanwhile, IDIOT ( who i think in the PRIME suspect) comes out on his balcony to see what luke and i were doing.. luke asks him if he smokes and with a blank look on his face says no.. he flipping watched all the commotion and walks back into his apt. The guy that lived on bottom floor, whos apt would have caught fire first does not smoke, nor does the 3 level peeps.. so hello, dude.. its YOU!!!
luke went to the office this morning to tell them what happened.. she goes i know that guy on the 2nd floor for a fact smokes!! SUCKER! why would you deny it?! ( oh.. forgot to tell you, the chief batallion fire guy ripped luke a new one telling him that with the hot weather he shouldnt be smoking and throwing his butts in the bushes- luke has not smoked a day in his life!!)

omg.. forgot the most important funny detail.. we just switched our insurance over but decided we would let them know about renters insurance due to not giving them a rough est of our valuables. so had our apt caught fire we would NOT have been insured. THank you, Jesus for the save on that one!!

the Gas light is on "E"...

... your with your kids alone, and the last time you pumped your own gas was in 2000!!! There is a line of people, you grab your debit card, try to act like you know what your doing.. you swipe your card, and .... oh, crap, i forgot to pop open my gas tank.. wait.. shooot.. HOW DO I DO THIS?! .... so, you call your husband that you hope can help walk you thru it. You dial his number, he answers and you WHISPER.. i dont know how to pump my own gas. HE LAUGHS and says: "Kat, are you serious?!" thank goodness, a sweet man sees i'm in dire need of help( of course, i hang up on luke)- Bless his little soul, cause he did EVERYTHING for me.. he he. As he's doing this i say, maybe i can get a sweet man like you to do this for me everytime ;) Meanwhile, lex opens her door hysterically laughing at me.. i mean, i'm a mom, i should know everything.. and i do EXcEPT how to pump my gas. So.. my fabulous child, whips out the camera and shoots.. haha.. do i look confused? ..
