Lets Talk Gym Ettiquette!

Ok, Peeps- here's the deal. I'm having some serious issues with some things i've seen at the gym lately. Let me explain. I thought that when i moved here, there would be many obese people living in the South. There is, but there seemed to be MORE in Oregon. I go to the gym in the morning to see the trophy wives, looking PERFECT in their work out duds with their FAKE ASSETS- i think you know what i'm talkin about. Now, in the last few weeks, i've spotted 3 women wearing booty shorts. Before you go and assume their the 20 somethings, uh.. NO.. they are the 30 and 40 somethings!! you know those spandex booty shorts?! I feel they are inappropriate- if you're going to have your butt hang out at the gym, you might as well have your "ASSETS" hanging out too. .. not only does it distract me as girl WISHING i had legs like that, but those poor men trying to mind their own business and work on THEIR bodies.
Point 2- there is nothing i HATE more than a clingy man!! TWO times in the past 3 days i have witnessed men seeming to be a little possisive of their women. First man has drop dead GORGEOUS girl, 90 lbs dripping wet. Every few mn he would walk over to her and put his hand on her almost to say she's mine.. GET A LIFE! you're at a gym! If he was my man, i would run.. you dont need someone THAT insecure. !! Second man i witnessed 2 nights ago- workin out with his woman. They would work on same machine and switch off on reps. In between, they HELD HANDS and KISSED! dude.. seriously- i DO NOT want to see you do that. The gym is a place to build yourself up mentally and physically. A place where you should mind your own business, put on some tunes and get in a ZONE!
If you want your assets to hang out, go to a club- If you want to make out, go SOMEWHERE ELSE! People, you are ADULTS, HAVE SOME TACT!

Dont they look EDIBLE?! Quin thought they were, so gave her one to eat after explaining we dont eat them. The look of discust on her face was PRICELESS and her words were :"dooos!"

it all started in December when my girlfriend bought a grinch shirt but it was super big on her.. she's lost 100 lbs and i said GIRL- why on earth would you wear a HUGE shirt after losing all that weight.. you need to make it form fitting and cut it up ( every time i say that i think of Bon Qui qui, GIRL I WILL CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT YOU!)


So, few weekends ago, we whipped out some guys shirts, watched the tutorial on how Kat Von D cuts up her shirts, and here you have it! I used a mens medium shirt and you just tie it in the back to fit your body shape-

I had a girl that's new to our apt complex tell me she loved my style so much she told her husband she was going to get gas in her car, and went shopping, came back with 2 bags of clothes.. i guess i forgot to tell her BEFORE she shopped all my hot spots.. not too often do i spend alot on clothes. Once you have your staples, you're set!


Now, go thru your closet and find somethin you want to Cut up, and do it Kat style - woot woot! ( and yes, i already had this shirt, it was luke's from an 80's party= wal*mart special!)

Rewards & Recognition

Mini Me made honor roll AGAIN! That being said, she was able to pick out a special treat and she decided Build a Bear was the place to go- i DREAD this place!! They have so many acessories including UNDERWEAR for these stuffed animals so they can really add up! To my suprise, we got out of there UNDER 50 bucks, she just wanted all the simple things. PHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

A Moment That choked me up!

Oh, lil muffin.. how i love her! Everything like sissy! Today she had to wear sissy's cowgirl hat, wear a vest cause the mint green one she wanted, sissy was wearing.. She just idolizes her!

Tonight, we were all sitting at the table while daddy was on his lunch break. Muffin will sternly say: "mom!" over and over until she gets my attention. i just WISH you could hear the way she says it because E.V.E.R.Y time she does it, i start in fits of laughter! She was literally 4 inches from me, but yelling as if i was across the room. After turning, looking at her and acknloweging her and saying, Yes.. she softly looks at me and LITERALLY whispers while looking into my eyes " I LOVE YOU!"

Yes, i teared up, just as i am now typing this. AN 18 month old with such a love for everyone and everything.. a moment i thought would be getting her something like a snack - and all she wanted to tell me was that she loved ME!!!!

Such is a moment like this, i feel God uses to teach us little lessons.. He wants US to take just a little time out of our busy lives and busy schedules to speak to Us and tell us how much he loves us, as HIS children!

Things that Make you go Hmmmmmmm...

Coach,...... its just not me!! The coach looks good on everyone else's shoulder but mine. J Crew, Anne Taylor, Sperry shoes, Ralph Lauren, i love it all- but.. its too awkard for my taste. I mean, i LOVE it, but its like putting a gothic chic in a nun's attire! Its so classy and Chic, and i'm SO not.. i'm the more spunky personality. I love a lil' funkiness, ya know, West coastie style- Think :Pink, love that girl! I love good, upscale denim, the newest fave pair of jeans would be my Rock Revivals.So, the husband wanted to buy me a Coach for Christmas, it would have gone back. I was oh.. cyberin it up on good ol' trustie Nordstrom.com and BEHOLD my new handbag appeared ! I love laaaaaaaaaaaav Juicy couture!!!!! Doesnt this just scream SPRING! i love the bright yellow, one of my FAV colors, and the cute cute CUTE bee charm on the side?! It ,makes me think Happy thoughts like Beaches, margaritas, ocean, swimsuits, tans. Oh.. so so adorable. I talk as if i've bought it already.. oh yes, i have.. IN MY HEAD! i put it in an email and sent it to my husband for the Birthday wish list- lets see if my wish comes true.. until then, i have last years Spring Juicy pink and green plaid handbag... also just as cute.

One of "THOSE" days..

I swear.. its been one of THOSE days..

The kind of day where you try and take two steps forward, but feel like

the steps are moving backwards.

I arrived 2 hours late to my gym- that'll throw you off. I didnt want to go. So.. i took a quick glance in the mirror and was reminded WHY i am going.

I did my workout.. and i did it good- today was an Arms day.

The baby took her nap- and what did i do INSTEAD of being productive?! oh.. decorated for Valentines day. Which is, i know going to be the start to my insanity. Why you ask? Because i made a layout of candy of different sorts, in different jars- now the 18 month old says :"CANDY" every time she looks at it. BIG MISTAKE-

So, no laundry was done, nor did i vacuum, nor make my bed. DISASTER i tell you-

Then, mini me comes home from school.. I opened the mail and another project awaited me. Muffin is going to an allergist in a couple of weeks and instead of the allergists office calling my insurance like they said they would to make sure they covered it, they wrote a note at the bottom of the paperwork saying that they couldnt find out any info.. oh.. you mean you're too much of a lazy oompa loompa to look it up! So, i took it onto myself to call my insurance- dialed numbers wrong, couldnt get my online log in right, pressed 0 oh about a 100 times.. finally got someone. Its covered.

Meanwhile, i have the kids wanting snack- mini me gets it, and the dog is sharkin around for scraps. i have kids bickering, screams for mom.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Husband calls.. i'm on my way home for dinner, uh, what are we having?! (ohhhhhhh, WHAT ARE WE HAVING?) did i mention my fuse was about BLOWN by then? i felt numb.. trying to come up with a smart dinner in 20 min. I season some salmon ,and turn on the oven. "Babe, that new chinese place by our house is open, wanna go there?!"

DO I?!!!!! i get the kids ready and drive there- all but a few mn away- PACKED ! 2 employees, line of to- go peeps out the door and 6 tables FULL- NOT. a. GOOD. SIGN.

Our server tells us she started 2 hours ago.. uhhhhhhhhhhhh... ok. the table that gets there after us gets their food first.. go figure. We get our food- AN HOUR LATER! The employees had no no no customer service what so ever- i mean, were talkin' BRICK WALL-

Husband stands in line for 10 mn just to pay bill- - - - - - no tip. I dont think i have ever not tipped. IT WAS out of a BAD MOVIE!

It was one of THOSE days- where i think.. seriously.. all i do is clean up after people all day, fold laundry.. the highlight of my friggin day is working out...

.. Yup.. its been one of THOSE days- dont feel sorry for me please! Just buy me a drink and everything will be just fine!

CHEERS TO A 3 DAY WEEKEND! HOW ABOUT EVERYONE CLEANS UP AND DOES LAUNDRY AND MOM DOES N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!

The Zoo Rundown!

So, i thought i would do a lil' rundown of the last couple of days-

*The past week= NO SLEEP for me.. Muffin has been up 3-5 times a week. I couldnt stand it anymore, so this morning in my zombie state ( uh.. hot mom award, with NO make up and sweats on.. HOT i tell you!) i took her to the Dr. Ear infection Numba 4!! that would be 4 since July! Praise Jesus for antibiotics and Motrin!

*Mini me made honor roll for the second grading quarter! Can i get a woot- woot! And again i'll say, Book smarts from her daddy ( he was an honor roller himself- i just squeaked by grade wise!)

* The leak i wrote an INSANELY long post about.. the dry wallers STILL havent fixed it 100%, my poor kids room is STILL over to one side of the room, and tonight, i found YET ANOTHER leak, closer to the door .. SAME pipe it seems.. FOR THE LOVE OF FRIGGIN PETE! .. oh.. and they havent fixed my frige handle either..

Weekend suprise!

I got a little phone call LATE thursday night asking what i was doing on Friday- little did i know, my grandpa was planning a side trip on his yearly winter trek down to Florida!! i was SUPER excited- i see my grandpa once every few years, and was lucky to see him last summer during my sisters graduation. Our time together was very short and sweet, but we have MANY happy memories from it and i cant wait to see him this summer!

Heartfelt Note..

My mini me has a heart of gold!!! The other day she stayed quiet so i could sleep- i had a nasty migraine!! In she tip- toes and writes me a note that reads:

" I HOPE YOU HELL"

As she hands it to me, she says, "Mom, is that how you spell Heal?" Uh, i laughed so hard and then realized she really meant well by this note. I explained to her how to spell heal and will FOREVER save that little note from her. She's so sweet and such a mama bear like me ;) But fo real?! That's hilarious! She may have just used the word Heal as a cover up, one may never know !!

Not what cha expect-

....when you pay over 1000.00 for RENT a month !!

(for a 2 bdrm apt!!)

TWICE now we had a leak coming from the ceiling in the girls bedroom. I called the maintenance guys and they just stared at it and said they would come back thinking it was the fire sprinkler system. Two days later ( of course they are NEVER on the quick side) they brought the sprinkler guys over and they said : :Well, its not the sprinkler system or it would be wet still and its dry. So.. off the 4 idiot men went, thinking once again they would be able to WALK away from a problem and it would fix itself--- RIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHT! ( keep in mind this is right before Thanksgiving!)

Right after Christmas, the infamous drip starts again from the ceiling. NOw, i'm ANGRY! not only is this my babies room, i'm nervous mold will start, and both girls will have health problems.. I call, the maintenace guys, who i call tweedle dee and tweedle DUMB come over and look at it. 4 days go by, still dripping and after promises that the plumbers would come, i call a total of 5 times- FIVE! dude.. seriously, i was ready to pull out some UFC moves and put the smack down on them! Oh.. did i mention this all goes down the DAY luke leaves for Atlanta for the week?! I had mini me sleep with me all week, while EVERYTHING in the girls room was shoved to one side of the room! ya.. that figures too! BY FRIDAY, after 2 broken promises by the management, i am told they would come and repair my ceiling. This is AFTER tweedle dee and dumb cut HUGE holes in my girls bedroom ceiling that were left like that for 4 days. Oh, they put cardboard in them, so it could "DRY " up there. They found a birds nest had made its home in the vent on the opposite side of us and every time the neighbors did their laundry, steam built up and dripped in of course, MY apt! With the holes in the ceiling, i felt like i could straight up Ghetto it and live for HALF of the rent, i mean REALLY!

So.. friday comes around.. the guys Patched it, but they have to come back 2 more times - whatever.. at least its patched. One of the guys that was patching up the holes looked at me shocked and was like, "Those are BOTH your girls?! " he was shocked do i really look too young to have 2 kids?! hey.. he earned SERIOUS brownie points from me!!

OK.. so here's the KICKER of the whole story.. only MY house do things go wrong! Lex was getting into the fridge last night and goes to pull on it.. i SWEAR to you, the ENTIRE handle on the fridge COMES OFF IN HER HAND!!!!!!! i almost wet my pants from laughing.. why do i pay so much in rent when i get cheap cheap CHEAP everything.. i think i need some rent knocked off this month, what do ya all think? oh... and i've asked them to clean the carpet in the girls room from the drip.. how long do you think it will take them to do THAT!? i'm sure it will be done by 2010~!

*New Years Resolutions*

I have a Confession- I.AM.A.FOOD.ADDICT!!! I mean... major bad.Some people struggle with Alcohol, shopping, or drugs.. mine is FOOD!! I'm constantly thinking about the next sweet i can put in my mouth.. i want all the bread, all the butter, and all the cheese and sour cream one can tolerate! I had a ROCKIN trainer back in Oregon, for the last 3 years, but here in Ga, forget it.. im not payin that kind of money and NO ONE compares to my Tina- Well, i'll admit, i have been slackin HARD core since i moved here and been enjoying the southern food a little more than i should. They aren't kiddin when they call it comfort food. Ya'll, my food pyramid is FLIPPED upside down. i seem to think that every meal needs to be some kind of sweet, and then maybe i'll eat some more things as a side dish. I was in THE BEST shape i have EVER been when i was 9 mo preggers almost 2 years ago with my 10 lb, 6 3/4 oz child!! WHat is my problem?! I have told myself that i have gotten out of hand!! i think everything has turned into marshmallow! Funny.. as i walked around the grocery store today, i SWEAR to you, i saw 2 endcaps of marshmallow cream and then displays of it on the bakery isle.. UH.. see.. they are talking to me and telling me to TONE UP!
So.. i uploaded some new tunes on my IPOD, (found $40 dollas worth of itunes gift cards from LAST christmas)since the last time they had been changed was all Highschool musical- this time, i went for a little lady Gaga, Britney and some good ol' Lue Bega ( remember HIM back in '99? Mambo Number 5?!) I hit it so hard at the gym tonight, with an hour cardio - i ran/walked on an incline and busted my chops, man.. i feel sorry for the persons behind me that had to see it all move - Think Kim Kardashian, or J-Lo- - I worked it SO hard, twice i almost threw up. THAT's what you call a GOOD workout.. bust it, til you feel like you're gonna burst!
I am doing my best to cut out sweets, and dairy- i will start journaling to really See what i shove into my mouth- could be scary!!! But i am determined to get back on my healthy living kick. I refuse to be a lazy mom, and guys.. i have my best friends wedding to be in MAY, as the Matron Of Honor and dont want to look back on pics and go.. EWWWWWWWWWWWWW! and Hilton Head island is calling my name this summer!!!
