Classroom Valentines

It is very well known that i am extremely competitive when it comes to decorating, and trying to be the best at home decorating ( which i fail miserably) and i try to be the best mom- another big FAIL-- but i do my best and that's all that matters. i've learned in the last year that i love to take on WAY too many projects and try to do it all. ITS.NOT.POSSIBLE to do everything- i've found out many panic attacks later..
Some of you may remember that i made fun Ipo*s for mini me's classroom last year with chocolate kisses and conversation hearts- this year i was stalking blog land and found the CUTEST idea from i believe the blog called La*t*da.. i snatched up her idea and ran with it.
Once again, mini me came home with all of her classroom valentines and said : "mom, all the kids LOVED theirs from me!" I went to the dollar tree and bought the cotton candy - buy it in the YELLOW package if possible and i bought sugar cones and triangle shaped cello bags at Hob Lob. I made a little tag that said : "Valentine, you make my heart melt"
Easy, crafty and not the STUPID, repetitive cardboard valentines they sell.. I HATE those.. and seriously, the kids dont care about that anyways, they want SUGAR ( Uh... lets be real, who doesnt want sugar? ) And so.. its on to more blog stalking for more great ideas ;)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is my sweet husbands birthday and i wanted to make this post for him- I try and make EVERY birthday special.. Mini Me has wrapped his gifts on her own- in purple boxes with manly ribbon, LOL!!
Im TRYING to make his dinner, with a yorkie in my peanut shell from when lil muffin was a baby.
Its all coming together slowly, but i WILL get it done!

Babe, i am so blessed to spend ANOTHER year with you and another birthday.. they only get better!

(In the last 24 hrs, we have had some major events- i'll expand on that later but ask for your prayers for our little yorkie. )

Weekend of Fun & Celebration!!

This last week, my BEST friend from Birth turned the big 3-0. All of her friends got together and planned a lil suprise party for her- and suprise it was.. Even better, we showed up! ;) I had to make sure it was all decorated, after all what's a party with lousy decor? These chocolate covered marshmallows have become my trademark.. had to make them for the party.. threw some things together and made a dessert table.
I had a stack of scrapbook paper so based the colors around that paper-

I found this cool idea in blog land- ribbon tied in a knot in all colors..

made it almost look like a corset top - HUGE HIT

The girls at the party- including mini me holding the wine glass we gave her- in pink said "30" and had glitter all over it

She was SO happy -- probably to have a get together, NOT to be 30.. she's still in shock over that one

My fave part of this picture? Lil muffin in the bottom left corner.. look at her face!

I scream, you scream, we ALL scream!!..

Guess what?! NO DRAMA today at our house!! yessssss.. so low key, everytime i cleaned up, i would turn around and it looked like a tornado had gone thru it.. uh, enough to give me a migrain, but i just let it go.. and it still looks like that! i slept in, luke and quin took a few hour nap and then we went to the pool- no excitement, so you get cutesy pictures instead..
Hey, it was these, or no post, so you pick..
we went to ice cream the other night and quin got a free one.. she's never had her own cone before so this was a treat!! i let her be as sloppy, and messy as she wanted. She was so quick to eat her cone- i think it was a record 10 min, if that!! And of course, miss piggy tried eating her sissys after she'd eaten all of hers!!


This was a by chance shot.. i look ridiculous always taking pictures, but because i do i get the fun rare ones like this where they are both looking the same, but in different directions!
tomorrow is lexi's LAST official day of summer!!!! School starts Monday- do i feel cheated on my summer.. Ummm.. yes.. but, she's in school for 7 hours, so my mind will be able to rest without all of that NON-STOP talking..
