Take me out to the ball game!

Baseball season has almost ended, but we wanted to get a little Braves game in before it was too late. We loaded up the pilot with our fam and neighbors and drove to the ATL.
Daddy and lil muffin walking towards the field after some serious tailgating- look @ lil muffin with her cup, it cracks me up. I kid on the tailgating part!


The Mr. all the way at the bottom of the picture in the red hat- watching them practice and coming up with a master plan on how to get a ball...

If plan A doesn't work, go for Plan B- bringing lil muffin to "WATCH" them practice, so they see her adorable hair and give her a ball. Mission: Accomplished!

After a disappointing first half of the game, the Braves turned it around and won!

Unbeknownst to us, there would be a free concert after the game- none other than Kutless!! From Portland, Oregon. Really.. its a small world.

Before they played, they had a man speak and this verse he quoted. i love the verse, and i loved the fact that it was on this board, in a baseball stadium. I'm pretty sure this wouldnt fly back in Oregon where we lived..

Kutless began singing... loved it.. it was like a huge worship service!!

When we got there, it was so hot and right when we sat down, mini me said :"mom, this is so boring". i thought we were in for it- hours of "when are we going home?" But, i was pleasantly suprised and found that if their mouths were kept full, they stayed happy! HA!

She Told It how It Was!

Mini me cracks.me.up! This girl has really learned to voice her opinion and in the last few weeks has REALLY voiced it, getting the nickname from our neighbor Kelly, " mouth of the south". Mini Me's teacher was out for maternity leave for a few months and had a sub for that time. When the sub's time was up, they all made a fun little book for her- with a Disney theme, knowing that she would soon be married and honeymoon there.

Each child was to give advice on what attractions to see there, and then some marriage advice. ... Lemme stop there and back up..

Mini me and muffin have a love/hate relationship just like any other siblings. whenever she gets mad, she'll grunt, roll her eyes and say :"this is why i'm NEVER having kids" as her sister is antagonizing her, or throwing some sort of fit.

FLASH FORWARD TO THIS PROJECT- you wanna guess what her marriage advice was to her teacher? You guessed it! : "DONT.HAVE.KIDS!" bahahahah

I guess when she turned this paper in ( which by the way, she didnt double check spelling with me and inked it- it has many grammatical errors, i know) her parapro teacher pulled her up and asked her about what she wrote- she looked at her and said :"What? Kids ARE annoying", ( mouth of the south hard at work there) , shrugged her shoulders and i guess the parapro laughed.

Sometimes i wonder, is my child WAY beyond her years?! This made me laugh!!!

*NOTE :ALL THE EXCLAMATION MARKS AT THE END OF THE :"DO NOT HAVE KIDS!"

lil update

i realize that many of you that read my blog are also on FB so you will recognize pictures from time to time.. i've been so busy, the only thing i've used our camera for lately is home decor and wreaths.. bad bad mom, i know!

Life out here in Georgia has been busy! i'm nearing the end of my math class for this term and will be taking my final next week a day before my cousin flies in! Im ready for a mental break, even if its only a week. I will be starting ANOTHER math class for Spring term the end of March. ( You'd think i actually LIKE math, but the truth is, i'm a math IDIOT and have to catch up to the level i need to apply for the nursing program. )

Yesterday, we had an impromtu lunch with daddy- after hitting the gym we decided Sushi was our lunch of choice. They made lil muffin a special set and this is what she did with them. I cant get over her eyes in this pic! She's been a HUGE challenge lately- VERY strong willed and reminds me of her dad on a daily basis. Seriously, if she would have been my first, i think i would have stopped having kids. She s a tough one. Her daily outfit at home consists of ONLY underwear. NO LIE. She's even been known to take her clothes off at church! With her being the second, i've learned to pick my battles and how she matches or the crazy outfits she comes up with, i just let it slide and let everyone get a good laugh at it- for example- This same day, she wore a shirt, with a skirt and DORA SNOW BOOTS she'd stolen from her friend down the street. The kicker? she put them on the wrong feet!

.... Onto mini me- she's been a load of fun lately too. ( extreme sarcasmmmmmmm) i LIVE for the time the husband gets home. By then i'm so mentally drained i swear it takes me 5 minutes to think of an answer to a question they ask me!

She just had her 6 month dentist check up and everything is perfect- she's excited to hear that her teeth are crowded and in a few years she'll be needing Braces - ( another great gene of teeth crowding passed on) She's flying thru school, but i sense she's ready for her Spring break - arent we ALL?!

I recently found THIS lil number in the bottom of her back pack--- ahhhh the days of being a little girl and dreaming about your prince charming, your wedding day and your new last name. LOL- i'm pretty sure it has to do with the fact that one of our good friends and neighbors ( miss Sassy Season partner) is getting married in May and we're all talking about it. So, pictured below are mini me's wedding colors- i thought it was creative she made it look like M and M candy!

I'm a holiday freak- but There's something special about Valentines day to me.. maybe its all the LOVE, the SWEETS ( i am a self proclaimed sugar junkie) , the colors of red and pink, or giving gifts to the ones i love.. Today - were making some sugar cookies for our nieghbors to show them some LURVE- in leiu of sugar cookies for you, since we cant send them thru the computer...

This much snow- First time since 1985!!

Wow--- what a suprise to have the weather men RIGHT this time with predicting snow and actually having it happen! It started around 2 ish in the afternoon- i ran some errands getting mini me's hair cut and then to Wally world for some pull ups for the muffin- News crews were at the store.. it was pure chaos!! By the time we got home, there was enough fluff to play in ( thank goodness daddy was home, because i'm SO not an outdoors, playin in the snow kind of gal!) Wanna know something special about lil muffin's snow pants? NO LIE- they were MINE as a little girl! LOL-

After hours of playing in the snow last night - while i sat next door at a neighbors to gossip, we all came home about 8 pm.. i went to throw some dinner together and all the lights went out..
So, we lit some candles and ate sugar wafers ( !!!!!) in bed for dinner and all slept in our bed- apparently the power came back on around 230 this am-

RANDOMNESS UPDATE!!

Hey y'all!!!!!! As you can imagine, life has been busy- as posted in prior posts, this is my first term BACK in school in 11 years!! those of you that knew me in my prior highschool life know school was definately NOT my strength and would be SHOCKED to know that i am going into my mid-term with an A! yup, you read that right! so..excuse the fact that i've not been blogging, but i'm trying to be a responsible "big girl" and prove myself this time around ;) Midterm's tomorrow, PLEASE send lots of prayers out for my test taking. I've been known to have SERIOUS text anxiety and would love to CONQUER that issue

Is This NOT the cutest BATHING suit you have EVER seen? THIS is the reason i love having a little girl- perfect for your baby, or a baby in your life.. seriously!! they have it in canary yellow as well and since i'd look like a friggin LOONY toon wearing it, why not live vicariously thru my toddler ;) ps- they are @ old Navy right now, AND they are on sale for 10 smacker-oos.. And lastly, this sweet sweet ball of fur is going in to get fixed tomorrow, so lift her up in your prayers as well- If you've been following my blog, y'all know that my lil Jewel passed away and so now lil Cocoa has my heart.. I want everything to go smoothly cause Lord knows, i cant handle another health issue in my life right now.. i have enough issues of my own- im pretty sure the nut house would come a knockin ;)

There have been MANY requests for directions on how i made my "subway art" canvas for my girlfriend's wedding shower- THAT WILL be my next post!!! SUPER easy and SO SO reasonable.. we're talking UNDER 10 BUCKS, baby!

A new Year.. A BAD blogger !!

First off.. i'm here, i'm alive.. and i am VERY well!! January brought a new twist on life for all of us, so i havent been a faithful blogger.. not because i didnt WANT to, but because i seriously have NO time! I started school again-- lemme tell you, taking even a CLASS.. ONE CLASS has been hard for me with having a 2 yr old at home. My goal is to be an RN- something i started YEARS ago.. But.. not being focused and then getting married and starting a family put all the school to the back burner. I feel now its time to get it started again- so i promise-- i miss each and every one of you and will try and update as much as possible!

Where ARE my bon bons?

Today i had to laugh.. i've been talking with some girlfriends who want to be stay at home moms, like are DYING to do the stay at home mom thing. I've been home with my girls since mini me was born. And i know its a privilege! I've always had a side job to give me some sanity UNTIL this last year when i moved out south. I'm adjusting, but long some days for a side job like before..

I wanted to blog today and give those girls a glimpse into a stay at home mom's CRAZY and eventful life!! Every day differs and nothing is ever exactly the same! Its a comedy show!

6:45- alarm goes off
i press snooze.( while thinking, i have to get up to make breakfast and do mini me's hair)

7:00 - i get out of bed and immediately start making pancakes, while talking to mini me.
- remind to brush her teeth
-decided today will be a hot lunch day.
- ask the husband to put money in backpack for lunch.
-keep flipping pancakes

7:20 - made half of pancake batch.
-realize my friends dropping her 9 month old off in 10 min for the day.
- as mini me is eating, i'm curling her hair.
-husband is playing songs on you tube for them while they eat.

7:30
- baby gets here
- still doing mini mes hair

7:50

mini me is watching for bus.
-BUS DOESNT STOP AND KEEPS DRIVING.
- of course, i have 2 babies now..
( thinking of the outcome of the toddler opening the front door and letting 2 dogs out, isnt a good sight)
- carry a kid on each hip while walking mini me across street to catch bus.


Toddler changes.

Baby wants to just be held. i hold him, but the ADD kicks in.

i clean kitchen and dishes.

i sit on couch, baby is crying.. ADD hits again, along with OCD-

i strip bed and throw laundry in, while putting 2 loads away.

Baby wants to eat, i sit and feed him and watch 10 min of DVR ( it takes me up to 3 days to watch ONE hr show!)

Toddler's changed about 4 times by now. IM NOT LYING.

I decide while sitting on couch with baby drinking bottle, i'll email dad.

Baby needs to be changed. Changed and fed, i put him down for nap.

i give dogs their heartguard, and start a quesadilla for the lil muffin.

While that's on the stove i start 2 other projects, and walk into bathroom- about 10-15 min have gone by.. something smells BAD.

OH.MY.GOSH... QUESADILLA IS BURNING.. I MEAN.. BEYOND BURNT. HOUSE STINKS, ALL FANS ON.

more laundry, baby down.

Make christmas list--- think of how to decorate my house for Christmas.

What am i making for dinner tonight?

Sort more laundry.

Did i mention- NO makeup, still in cozies, i may get a shower by 1 pm.

Folks.. its only 10:50- what's in store for the rest of the day..

and i ask: "WHERE ARE MY BON BONS THAT EVERYONE THINKS THE STAY AT HOME MOM EATS ALL DAY EVERY DAY?"!

I'd rather be at work ;)

Something to be SO greatful for-

I've been out of the blogging world due to a nasty virus on my computer, but i am back and more thankful than ever to my friend for fixing it for us!! I've had something on my heart for weeks now that i wanted to share with ya'll. This month more than ever, people are focusing on things in their life they are Thankful for, THIS story is so near to my heart-

I have a friend whom i've known for years. We went to highschool together and not until the recent years have we really talked. Her husband and she have struggled with infertility for years and while i have never experienced infertility first hand, i hurt for her. It hurt. When you've done everything the right way, and you still dont succeed, you wonder WHY you cant have something you want and desire so bad. I prayed for her and her husband and referred her to a fellow blogger that too had struggled with infertility for years and had recently had a child.

Then, weeks later, the good news came that she was expecting, healthy and doing well. My heart soared for her and her husband and this long awaited journey in their lives. I tracked her progress and loved getting pictures of her tummy and the baby's nursery. the baby's due date wasnt until New years Eve-----

October 8th, i saw her post :had a baby shortly before 4 am today...emergency c-section...scary but everything looks good" I was shocked and scared for her, but prayed that God would prevail and keep his hand on this little miracle child. through technology, She has updated constant pictures and updates of her little angel-- We'll call her "Faith". Faiths little body on these first pictures, so frail, and yet so strong.

These pictures just tugged at my heart-- how she's clinging to her daddy while sleeping on him. It brought tears to my eyes and STILL does as i type this. Through God's grace, miss Faith is fighting, and getting stronger by the day. The little things all new parents take for granted such as pooping, and feeding and gaining every little ounce are HUGE steps in this little girls life. She's growing by leaps and bounds.. On the day of her birth she weighed in at 1.11 lbs and as of a few days ago is 3 lbs. GOD IS GOOD!!! Please continue to pray for Baby Faith- pray for her little fragile body to continue to grow strong. Pray for her mom and dad as this is obviously so emotionally draining we cant even imagine.

As Thanksgiving nears, be thankful for the things in life that have been given to you -- even the little things we take for granted. Thank you, Lord for the miracle of baby Faith and for your continued blessings for her and her family!!!

Halloween At the Zoo

Boo At the zoo is an annual even that's put on every year- Last year was our first year and i had a blast! To be completely honest, i usually HATE events with kids. Mini me will tell ANYONE :" my mom doesnt like kids" its true and i'll tell you why- KIDS THESE DAYS ARE OUT.OF.CONTROL! This event went so smoothly, i can say i think I had the most fun out of everyone! Here's some pictures to re- cap the night. Wish ya'll had been able to share it with us--- And yes, it was warm enough to wear tank tops! That's the south for ya!This year, our neighbor came with us... next year we'll get her husband to come too! He missed out, BIG time-
Lil Muffin was Orphan Annie this year- i had the lady that made their rehearsal dinner dresses for my best friends wedding make their costumes. The lady pulls thru every time.. i just LOVE her to bits!

Sitting in line waiting for the Zoo doors to open - our neighbor said that the husband dressed up as a UGA college student. LOL

Taking lil muffin to the Zoo this time was memorable. She actually GETS it this time and was awestruck! her mouth was just open the whole night, i actually thought she may be getting sick she was so quiet soaking it all in! ;)

My Neighbor again-- our neighbors are like our family out here, we're SO blessed to have them in our lives!

Mini me HATES having her picture taken, so i caught her in action doing what she loves to do- DANCING! shakin it to the song, do the TWIST"- at the end of the zoo, they have a dancing area, and a DJ with smoke and lights everywhere.. our FAVE part!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- look at this lil moment- Daddy was trying to dance with her and i got her attitude on camera and boy am i glad i did. PRICELESS!!! this face is a common occurrance around our house!
