Another Night of Celebration

My parents flew in from Oregon for a week of fun- they flew in Cinco de mayo.. no margaritas in hand, unfortch ;) The day after they came, we planned for a family birthday party for mini me- my bestie here in Ga. came as well The cake request this year was a strawberry cake. There is a fabulous place in Augusta called Very Vera- if you watch Opr*h, or read her magazine, her best friend, Ga*l LOVES their strawberry cake so much it was featured in the magazine recently!( they have a web site and ship everywhere!!!) I thought it would be extra special buying her a famous cake! 40 dollars later, and her first bite.. her response was : "i dont like this"... uh.. DANGIT!!!!!! i striked out hard core on that one! i guess buying a 2 dollar box of cake mix wouldve done me more good..

Mini Me's not so little anymore!

Our life has been crazy nuts in the last month... i will try and fill you in thru my next few posts. Mini me turned 7, and so we do it up big at our house. This year's theme is Candy land we have jars of candy filled in lots of fun glass jars on our lege in the kitchen ( i'll try and post pictures of that on a later post)'. Before she went to school, i made sure to get pictures. She got a bike this year- since now we have streets to practice on and lots of new clothes at her fave store, Justice, which is EVERY little girls dream for shopping ( where was that store when I was that age)?! Grandma and Grandpa sent her money for shopping and then we kicked in more so she could get everything she wanted.( shoes and flip flops a result of the shop)

Ever Since her first birthday, we have gone to Red Robin every year ON the actual birthday to celebrate for lunch. So, this was the 7th year- she told our server : "excuse me, before you forget, its my birthday today! " hilarious!

WE'RE BACK.. WOOT WOOT

i have been LOST without my internet and staring at tiny pictures on my blackberry wasnt working for me, AT ALL- we live out of city limits and so finding a internet carrier was hard, and UPS couldnt find us!!!! freaking lame. I even had neighbors call them and actually go to the UPS and draw them a map.

Life has been non-stop and i feel like i have not gotten an adequate amount of sleep these last few weeks! We are pretty much all unpacked and now i have the hard task of decorating everything. i dont want to throw stuff up just to throw it up.

I promised mini me that when we moved out here to Ga, that she could have a whole new room - we finally found it at Target- its that light blue, shabby chic bedding with white butterflies and frills on it. .. AND IM OBSESSED! i had lots of little things lying around the house from dollar tree and clearance Michaels and i was able to use things that i already had laying around and just bought spray paint- pictures will follow.

That's about it for decor. Lil Muffin has had a rough week already! My friend was here from Virginia- i've known her since i was 11! She would watch lil muffin for me when i went to the gym. She called me panicked one day and said she had found her in the crib, with her leg caught in between the slats in the crib and her foot purple. Not having kids, she panicked and ran to every neighbor, found no one. SO.. she called 911 ( she was re-routed 3 times because they couldnt figure out where we were- scary!)

Then, tuesday Muffin finally had tubes put in her ears ( while being treated for her 9th ear infection !!!) Then Thursday, i had King sized bedding and 6 pillows to wash and i cant do it in my washer, so went to the laundry mat. .. i HATE those places, but i'm a germa phob and have no choice but to wash big bedding there. Muffin was wearing her soft leather soled shoes ( Robe*z) and her feet were like fred flinstone. She couldnt get a grip on the floor, and fell into the Dryer hinge and started screaming. i couldnt see anything- looked at her nose, mouth and saw nothing so just hugged her. UNTIL....... Blood starts rolling down her head!!! Heads bleed bad anyways- there was a hole in her head. So, an urgent care trip later, she's walking around with 3 stitches in her head.

LORD HAVE MERCY, its never- ending with kids! My parents fly in on Tuesday night and the chaos begins with celebrating mini me's birthday, a dinner in Due West, driving to Greenville for a wedding friday, then rushing back Sunday morning for baby dedication on Mothers Day and for my parents to visit our church.
