new post- i promise!

Hey ya'll!
i know its been awhile since a post- i have great
greenville stories and then tonight we went to the pumpkin patch
and i even got a little somthin to share with ya'll today. its midnight and
i still need to shower- we JUSt got home and had to get the babies bathed
and fed before bed.
I'll download pics and i promise i'll try and post tommorrow-
i have church in morning, then membership class then a community
group at night, so my day is pretty slammed. but the pics are great and
mom.. i even have a special pic up my sleeve for ya.

Another Bizay Weekend

We needed something fun to do- we're all gettin a little stir crazy up in herrrrrr.. We decided to take the girls to the Columbia zoo- some of you probably have heard of Columbia, SC in the news lately with the plane crash with DJ AM and Travis Barker-

Lex was SO excited at first we couldnt keep up with her- the kids loved it and luke and i were able to enjoy our own entertainment by the monkeys- those little suckers are naughty!!

Look closely at this picture and see the little friend i found 'hiding' in the plant- these suckers are EVERYHWERE out here, but are not harmful-

Little photo op before heading into the aquarium- lemme tell you, i got the WILLIES in this exhibit. !! i am not lying at LEAST 30- 40 different snakes all in different rooms of their own, including an anaconda.. all i could think of was the baby got back song when i saw that sucker. But what most of you might not know is i'm TERRIFIED of snakes ( i know, i moved to the south.. SHUSH IT!) i tried to stay calm and stood in a corner while luke took the girls to every window. I started panicking a little, but was able to keep it all under control.

Why eat at the zoo when you can find a fun place like THIS joint! Old skool hot dog/ ice cream joint!! i kid you not, Quin ate chips, hot dog, and ice cream and girlfriend packed that food in- she was a MESS after lunch but managed to keep the round little tummy she's known to have!

Tuesday we embark on a little adventure to Greenville Sc for a birthday party- it was SUPPOSE to be a suprise but leave it to one person ( A GIRL OF COURSE) to spoil the suprise!! GEESH-

The Bug man is comin to spray this week- we had a record 6 roaches up in this joint in one week--you'd think i would have names for each of them by now, but its just a hate relationship, no love comin from here-

New Baby at Our house?!!

UUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- NO!!!! Are you kidding? Never again! Little Jewel has been cold lately- the groomer trimmed her so short if she would have gone any shorter, she'd be NAKED! So, once in awhile, we literally wrap her like a baby and hold her like one. After all, she really is like a newborn (however the Dog only weighs 4 lbs. Most newborns are bigger, like the ol'd 10 lb Quin) Quin saw me holding her and asked to hold her.
I made her sit up on the couch and she held her so gently. i have NEVER seen a young baby so gentle with an animal. And to see that Jewel is SO trusting with her, she's SLEEPING in her arms- now THATS SOME SERIOUS TRUST!
It was too precious not to share!!

Observations i've made lately~

i'm getting into a routine-- which most of you know means GYM! Man, in Oregon i somewhat made myself presentable. But, here... even though i know NO ONE i put my face on and look ready for the day. The south is known for food, comfort food at that. All i've seen at this gym is beautiful people- - - why? why? WHY?!!!

Another observation- two gramps, and when i say gramps, i'm talking 60's + in SPANDEX shorts- the ONLY spandex that should be allowed is in Jeans to give some stretch, but not for people to wear shorts. Please, i beg of you - keep those at home and get some normal shorts.

Not only do i live across from the most BEAUTIFUL funeral home i've ever seen- (yes, there is such a thing. Beautifully manicured lawn with perfect flowers, HUGE clock in the lawn, and the BIGGEST building i've ever seen- i mean, if it was a house, it would be a mansion. )...BUT i found that i only live 2 minutes from the morgue!! RANDOM, i know.. is that morbid? No, i dont find it that way. But i have seen more funeral homes around here than i have ever seen.

My experience with people and drivers has been a good one- courteous.. UNTIL the other day. i was at a stop light at a dead stop. There was a driveway next to me that led to a restraunt, so i didnt block it. I proceeded to check my text messages. im not driving, so why not. I look in my rear view and see gramps ( maybe it was the spandex man?!) go around my car, barely missing my bumper and i think maybe he decided to make a left turn. Ooooooooh noooooo... he decided that he needed to be in FRONT of me! HUH? What on earth buddy?! i was only 2 car lengths behind the car in front of me to not block the driveway- that's whats in the drivers manual last time i checked. But,,,, maybe not in his, it was in the stone age. Then, as the light turns green, he motions for the man in the driveway to come out- so now HE looks like a super hero. My blood started to boil as i fight with my conscience saying Kat, you are representing Jesus, dont do anything he wouldnt aprove of. My bloods pumpin, blood pressure spikin... my human nature got the best of me. I gunned it and got really close to his bumper- it doesnt make sense, but in my mind, at that time, it DID. He decided to turn into Cracker Barrell- maybe to look for another pair of spandex shorts in their gift shop?- i gave a good lay on the horn-- made the human part of me feel better.

Yes, i still love it here- Dont we all have those days?! AS i look back its all so humerous- - -

A Few New Obsessions ~

The other day, it was a little quiet in the house- anyone with children knows that if its quiet, something is happening that shouldnt be. I found Quin emptying Lexi's underwear drawer- and it occured to me that this isnt the first time its happened. She has a fascination with her sissy's underwear!! So, her new thing is to wear her sissy's undies OVER her diaper- hilarious!

Last week when we went to get Tags for luke's truck (registered the truck- which by the way JUST for his truck is over 200 a YEAR!) As we were leaving, i noticed Acorns all over the grass and promised lexi that we could go get some soon- knowing that would be a fun project for her to get out of the house.

After, we met Luke for dinner at Cracker Barrel- Quin LOVES these rocking chairs! they line the front of the restraunt and she kept pulling away from me trying to sit on the chair- she has a love for little chairs and stools her size- mom and dad.. i think this may be her christmas present this year!!! I wouldnt buy it there though.. overpriced!!! Yes, Lex is on her phone-- called her dad to thank him for dinner and meeting us there.

My new obsession?!! BLOGS! you could spend HOURS reading other people's blogs and all these ladies mind blowing home decorating skills.. i only aspire to decorate as well as these ladies!!
We went and saw ' the movie :Fireproof' Sunday with our church- our church basically bought out 2 showings of the movie and we all went last night- Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains- (thanks, Michelle) stars in it. Its filmed in Georgia- i cant recommend it enough!! I challenge YOU to go-

What do YOU do at 2 am on Sat ?!!.. wW

Quin has this nasty habit of waking up 2 times a night- i feel like we have a newborn again, its so lame!

With the gas shortage here, Luke decided at 2 am to go on a Gas hunt.. I'm not kidding- Peeps are sleeping at the wee hours , or coming home from a Bar and the last thing on their minds is to fill up- It was a gamble, but after 3 stations, he finally found one and FILLED 'ER UP-

Is this not WEIRD?! maybe we should buy one of those electric cars- - -
