A Morning Cleaning..

These are 2 of the pictures portraying our morning today!!

Luke had to go in early, after getting home at 2 am, and had to be at work at 10. i tell you, i NEVER know his schedule. I have this down comforter i've bene wanting to wash since we got here- but my washer when i put a comforter in it, leaks water everywhere.. i guess its too big of a load, so lucky me i get to go to the laundry mat to wash it.

Now, for those of you that dont know.. i think i may be the worlds BIGGEST germ - a -phob there is! Since i've moved here, i've had to let it not control me so much.. being in an apartment was hard enough.. roaches, etc etc. .. (oh, we'll get back to the roaches in just a quick second!)

SO, since luke had to work, i had no other choice but to take quin with me.. ahhhhhh! i bathed her for the day and we were off to the mat. i washed and dried it and washed 6 pillows as well, and of course, there was Bleach in every load ;) Quin must have touched EVERYTHING in there, the doors, the floors.. Oh my word! I kept thinking, why did i waste time bathing her, i'll just have to do it again when i get home!! I put the change in the washers and went to go use my hand Sani in my purse- NONE! i switched purses and i left it out! i have a HUGE thing of it in the car, heaven knows where that went to, and so i went for the back up in the diaper bag.. THATS GONE TOO! so, i thought,... well i can use wipes. I took them out at Bible study last night and forgot to put them back in.. !!!!

then, Miss Quin fills her drawers.. princess didnt get changed right away..

In front of the laundry mat, we did see this HUGE moth type thing. Its the size of my entire hand!

And.. Quin made use of her time by crawling in the stroller. Now if THAT isnt funny!

I unpacked this box in the girls room today- PAPA roach made his appearance, being the size of 3 quarters put together, and ALIVE! i was on the phone with my mom, and i THINK she may be deaf from me screaming. I threw my old Anatomy book on him ,after finding him under a flip flop. i thought he'd crawled into Quins bedding. I call my dad back to resume my phone convo. and try to multi- task by picking up the "DEAD" roach.. oh no.. the sucker started scurrying on the floor.. Dad got an earfull of screams and curses.. My poor parents, but i think it just reminds them of how drama-free their lives now are now that' we're gone ;)

i tried taking a pic of PAPA roach, but the camera wasnt working and i didnt DARE risk him coming back from the dead a 2 time.. my heart had enough racin for the night.

Fun & Games til someone gets hurt!!

Tuesday was our LAST day with the twins and their mommy.. They went back to England after being on a 5 wk vacation here- This was really the only friend i've made here that i hang out with on a regular basis, so dangit.. i'm friendless again ;) Kidding, really i am!
We took the kids to this place called Monkey Joes- its full of the bouncy toys that kids every age can use- Well, lex came to me after being there an hour crying. Now, she is the Queen of drama but i could tell something was REALLY wrong! there was RED welts on her neck. She proceeded to tell me some boy had CHOKED her!
Lord, have mercy, i wanted to find that kid and BEAT him down! he looked like the kid off of the movie Problem child- ya followin' me?! So, i find a referree to let them know what had happened and he TRIES confronting the kid. You could tell the kid was Freaked that he was caught and of course lies that he didnt do anything- and then TAKES OFF! His mom walks up and asks if there is a problem-
I'm furious, but try to act calm and collected. I tell her the problem and she freakin says to m e :" i'm not trying to make excuses for him, but he's never done this kind of thing before.
"Well, he might not of, but look at her neck, it has RED marks on it."
She asks her son if he did it and he turns into the EXCORCIST kid:"
(SCREAMING) " I didnt do anything to her!!", as he's burrowing his head into
his mom's chest. I keep watching this TRAINWRECK of a kid.. his mom just stands there RUBBING his hair and allowing him to scream. The kid had to be at least 8-
i could tell this wasn't going anywhere, and that the mom was such a sorry excuse for a mom, making excuses for him that she wasn't going to make him apologize for choking my child. By this point, i grabbed Lex's hand and walked away. I sat down at the table i was at, and watched this lady sit down and have her son sit on her lap while he moped and she rubbed his head feeding into his BULL for 30 min. !! Let me just tell you, if MY kid had pulled that, i would have made her apologize and we would have LEFT - how does a kid learn that its wrong if you let them stay?!
Here's the kicker.. these random ladies at my table told me the kids mom was a TEACHER! hmmmm. not at my school thank goodness. Let me also just say Jo from Super Nanny would NOT be impressed by her parenting skills.
I wanted to just whip out a taser and teach him a lesson of his own ;)Next time i go - i'll pack one in my purse. .. uh...

Why you don't let your kid get ahold of your camera!

So i usually do a daily download, cause now that i'm the psycho mom blogger -i take my camera in my purse everywhere with me..
i download and i find TWELVE pictures like the ones to follow.. i'm not lyin.. Miss Lexi and her daddy built a lego fort, so she told me she had to take pictures so that we could see the inside, etc etc .. and did you notice the ribbon picture in there too?! there is another JUST of ribbon.. HOW FUNNY IS SHE?! Instead of erasing them all, they are kept and maybe someday when she's getting married, or some inportant day in her life, these pictures will be revived along with the underwear pictures and buck teeth pictures we ALL dread and she'll be reminded of how cute she was..

And here she is again from this weekend with Miss PORKY Paisley herself!! (Paisley's Grammy needs to cut down on the biscuits with cream cheese and join the Doggie version of Jenny Craig, maybe called BARK N Craig.. )

**ALSO, i received a note home from Lexi's Beautiful, Wonderful teacher noting that the local Country radio Station, Called Kicks 99 FM came to their class and recorded their "sweet voices saying the pledge of Allegiance. A Weekend Away-

On Saturday, we were watching the neighbor girls again, and got a phone call.. My childhood best friend lives 2.5 hours away, so the mid point is her parents house.. we planned a last min get together, and packed in 45 min. Jessie is a NICU nurse, and was on call. She got called in around 1 am, so we werent able to spend as much time together as planned. But we still had a nice little get together.. here are some pictures.. when we all have our dogs together, there is 5- but lexi's favorite is Jessies dog, Paisley. She's WAY over weight.. 3 times the size of Jewel but seems to be the favorite.

This little muffin had a bad cold 2 weeks ago, and ever since then has not been herself. She's been super fussy, and in the last 24 hours, stopped eating and spiked a fever. So, tonight we made a trip to the Dr. and my assumptions were right.. ear infection. hi ho hi ho, another dose of antibiotics we go!!

So, we come home and make good ol fashioned popped corn in our own popper- and we added fruit loops. If you havent tried that combo, i highly suggest it.. it gets ya the sweet and salty and miss lex and her BFF Kylie invented it ;)All of us girls sat on the couch to watch the boob tube, and Quin seemed partial to the gallon bag of fruit loops. Since she hasnt really eaten for 2 days, i let her eat to her hearts content. We had to take some pictures!!

And while we were goofin off.. Miss Quin DUMPS the fruit loops ALL OVER THE COUCH- folks, T*H*I*S is why we have brown, microfiber couches.. it wipes off.. the Nice furni will come INTO The house, when the kids go OUTTA the house ;)

Today was a rough day- but we all pulled thru, made a little pizza, did homework, and colored. Now the girls are bathed and snoozin away, and our A/C is working.. oh ya.. that was broken for a day too, but the maintenance guys, who *TOTALLY* remind me of tweedle dee and tweedle dumb fixed it. They are super nice but somethin about them just makes me laugh.. maybe its that they drive around in a GOLF cart all day long.. ha ha.

Dead man stands throughout 3-day wake
Family fulfills Puerto Rican's wish by propping up his body in living room

His brother Carlos told the El Nuevo Dia newspaper the victim had long said he wanted to be upright for his own wake: "He wanted to be happy, standing."
The owner of the Marin Funeral Home, Damaris Marin, told The Associated Press the mother asked him to fulfill her dead son's last wish.
Pantoja was found dead Friday underneath a bridge in San Juan and buried Monday. Police are investigating.
