Then & Now!! ....

Not much really happened today.. Quin is still recovering from the virus junk, i had another migrain ( when its 110 out, who wouldnt?!) and we went to Sams club ( the ghetto version of Costco for those of you that dont know).. so what kind of fun is a post about that nonsense?!

So, i was going through pictures and stumbled upon this oldie but goodie!! This is my BFF of all time, Jessie! our moms were BFF's when they were our age, were pregnant together and so we were born and raised together until i was 6, and then i moved to Oregon. She then moved to China, then to LA, then to SC. And lo and behold, we are only 2 hours from each other now!!! She is like a sister and family to me, and i couldnt be more happy to have her so close! So a fun little pic comparison of when we were 6 ( and so fashionable- Seriously, what are we wearing?!) and just a month ago at her house warming party, luau style.

Poor mini Lucas is sick.. she's had a fever all day, been whining, runny nose.. poor little thing just is feeling rotten. So, we stayed home all day and tried to make the best of it. Lex was not allowed any t.v. so she read, played and we made cookies together. And i even made enchiladas.. apparently my little idea of taking a picture of it and sending it to luke on the phone worked cause he came home for dinner- - ha ha.. note to self, ALWAYS take a picture and send!


But, miss Quin still likes to have fun even when feeling sick.. apparently your sissy's underwear on your head is the newest HOTTEST fashion accessory;)
Here's to hopin that she is better in the morning.. and cheers to T-mobile and their picture messaging to get daddy home on his lunch break.. EAT IT SONIC, you cant have him come there EVERY night now!

B*O*O*K *W*O*R*M*S

After spending a few weeks here, we are getting more familiar with the area. I really wanted to take the girls to the library, but the only one i had found was in the ghetto, no seriously! So, when i talked to our bored, retired neighbor he informed me we have a BRAND NEW library! WOw- he's not kiddin-- its amazing, so swank for a library, my goodness.

She was told by the librarian she could check out 50 books! of course, i made my own limit of 12- dont want too many to keep track of!

Isnt this the most precious picture?! I loved bathed babies in their clean jammies at night. you just want to eat 'em up! After 2 hours at the pool tonight, we had a late dinner, bath time and of course a story! Tonight, miss Quin picked out the "Fish' book-- as she wiggled all over the place, tried knocking a painting off the wall.. i think all in all she enjoyed it ;)

A little s-c-u-r-r-r-e-d!!

ok, a lot a scurrrrrrrrred! Tonight i went to a store to pick up some water and other things. with it being so hot here, i always have bottled water- As i walked into the store, i went around the produce isle. I went back to grab some bananas and noticed this guy had now been staring at me since i had walked into the store and now happened to also be at the bananas. Just thought, whatever dork, move on!! i go thru picking up cheese, and yogurt and the WATER i'd been there to get and decided to go up and down every isle since i was without kids (ahhhhhh.. peace and quiet)
( Now.. if you know me.. you will know that i'm the ULTIMATE paranoid person! My dad has worked in Prison ministry for years and i worked for an attorney.. so i guess i just know alot.. and it doesnt help i watch all those primetime shows.. i trust NO ONE- if anything bad happens, its always to me.. )keeping all this in mind, i'm constantly aware of my surroundings. Good thing.. i turn back around and notice this freak-o is STILL following me. Ok, he's now received the header : "STALKER". i go down one more isle and once again, turn around. We make direct eye contact and he kind of tries to hide behind clothes.. Now, its ON! my hearts a pumpin! i whip open my purse and call Luke to get the kids in the car and get his butt down to the store! Meanwhile, this guy disappears!!! I let this family know what was going on and that i was waiting for my husband. i just slowly walk through the store. luke finally gets here and sees this man approach me to ask if i was ok.. not knowing it was the guy from the family i let know what was going on. The look in luke's eye.. i thought he was gonna whoop him1
I NEVER saw stalker in the store after the phone call. Now before you all jump to any conclusions, know that where i am i feel completely safe and oddly enough when this little sit- ee- a - tion occured, i felt like i was in a LANCASTER store.. if ya'll catch my drift ;)
But, i am safe and nothing happened. This is the 3rd time in a store i've had creepy stalker situation.. mercy.

**Girls Day Out **

Today Daddy had to work so it was girls day out!! We had a late start to the day and i felt lazy. Luke and i bought lex a little dress at Cracker Barrell when we came out here to find a house. Somehow in the move, the dress has been misplaced- she only wore it 2 times and that dress has been all she's talked about all week, in tears !! So, i thought we would go back to see if they had another one in her size and get some lunch while we were at it. We found one ( thank you, Jesus!) and sat out front in the rockers waiting to eat.

A grandma passed by and Saw miss Quincey sitting there for a few minutes, walked by and said, :" your baby is so well behaved." Shoot, lady, hang out with me for a day and tell me how good my one year old is! She is N-A-U-G-H-T-Y with a capital "N"!!

This past few days is *TAX FREE* on school supplies and clothes, so today we bought some new clothes for school. ( After unpacking the girls room, my mom brought to my attention, that Miss Lexi can wear one outfit every day for two and a half months and never wear the same thing.. ooops, i guess i didnt realize she has so much.. ) But, i think that a new year should bring some new duds, so we got some new dresses.
We came home and Q went down for a nap.. that means.. Mama needs one too ;) I set lex up to play some games and i wake up 2 hours later, to hear breathing in the room that wasnt mine, or the dogs, but there is no one else in my room... i get up, and find this cute little child PASSED out on the floor.. had to snap that one. So precious, Miss : "I dont take naps" ... i think she's fighting a little somethin as her nose was running tonight and she said her head hurts.

Brotha- ly Love....

I've talked about Lexi having Vacation Bible School this week. Every night i would come about 30 min before it ended because they would sing songs and Quincey would love dancing. all the kids would come together in the gym. ... So there's the setup--

Now back up 3 wks ago to when we got on the plane to come to GA. My mom had Quincey in her lap and a TALL Brotha sits behind her on the plane, And that's when it all began!*!*!*!* Ever since we've come here, E-V-E-R-Y time that she sees a brotha( which is like everywhere we go), she will stop dead in her tracks and straight faced stare at them. If she gets their attention, she will start waving and say hi, OVER AND OVER again. And when i say over and over, i mean like constant for at least 10 + times.
There was the CuTEsT little brotha in lexi's VBS group this week. On Monday, Q kept petting his head, putting her arm on his back and rubbing it and then would stand in front of him and just Stare in awe of him. She did that Twice, once again on Tuesday. Tonight, she found another adorable brotha, and starts interacting with him. he was sitting down, so she would squat down in front of him and just stare!!!! Luke was able to capture it with his phone and bless this little boys heart, he was so kind and gentle with her and would talk to her, share his name tag with her, and help her up.
***FOLKS-- just like a girl after her own mama's heart, i think there will be a Brotha in the future family!! Go little Quin, show 'em what you are made of, sista! ***
