Today was luke's company picnic. I woke up feeling exhausted because last night i had a migrain starting at 745 last night and still had a touch of it in the morning. Migrains DRAIN you-- i took more pills for it and got everyone ready. It was about a 30 min drive and the place reminded me or a place in Black Butte or Bend- there were rides there, food and a DJ. Now remember, we are in GEORGIA-- that means, the music is gonna kick compared to Or and it did.. felt like i was in a club. Let me just tell you the first thing i noticed was how WELL DRESSED everyone was. you go to the OR. company picnic and you have all the people that dont take showers and just dress like they dont care. The people here look like they took HOURS and their kids are dressed to a T! Bright colors.. wow ! my kind of thing! See attatched shoe picture. Shoes out here are so colorful, you would think they just painted them in art class. !!

It was fun until the Thunder storm hit.. it rains in Or, but i think the rain drops here are 10 x as big!! see the before and after picture i attatched.. CRAZY!

I've come to the conclusion my Newest perfume is OFF! bug spray.. that has come a long ways! we got the unscented kind.. smelled yummy actually, like fruity! i can live with that! i've gotten at least 2 bug bites a day living here! Yesterday at the pool, a black i think it was a flying ant flew into the top of Quins ear above the ear canal and got stuck. i tried to quick get it out and i think it bit or stung her because she just SCREAMED!!! poor little thing!

Luke told me the F-U-N-N-I-E-S-T dang story ever this morning. Apparently he went to Chick-fi-la for dinner. ( by the way what is the big stink about this place? luke says the food Sucks) Anyways, this lady walks up to Luke and shakes his hand. She's at least 80, coke bottle glasses and he cant figure out if she's all there, but shakes her hand anyways, and says hi. She shakes it again and luke realizes she IS ALL THERE and that her husband is standing in line ready to order. She looks at luke and says : "thats my husband right there and he's a huge pain in the A**!" luke said he just wanted to die laughing as the old man muttered something under her breath. At least the sista told it how it was- shoot they've been married forever, she's gotta vent to someone how she feels, HA

* *In the South * *

When you travel, its always fun to see whats different that you dont have at home. Well, being in the south, i've seen lots of that in the grocery stores and wanted to share What those things are..

* frozen dog treats in the ice cream section- Who would have known that Fido needs a little
treat too?!

* Casserole cheese- so you know how you can buy shredded cheese and it will say: " pizza cheese, mozzarella cheese, mild chedder, etc etc? i go to use the cheese that luke bought at the store and it says casserole cheese........... SERIOUSLY?!!! F-U-N-N-Y!!!!

* Nilla Wafers below the bananas- Banana pudding apparently is a staple of the south, along with the mac 'n cheese that's considered a vegetable here ;0)

* Fried sliced deli meat- yes.. you read that right.. Freakin sick i tell you. i go to the meat section to buy lunch meat and i see that and about toss my cookies. The sound of that, all i can think of is grissle and goo.. nasty.

* Grits in 3 cheese flavors- you know how there is instant packs of oatmeal with like 3 or 4 different flavors? well, folks out here you can get a box o' grits like that with 3 different cheese flavors!! Double Double Y-u-C-k!!

* and of course the STAPLE of the south, sweet Tea- just like we can get any jones soda, or fuze, or a juice, you can get sweet tea in a bottle, ( and at the Mcdonalds)i like my tea unsweetened, but thought i would give it an ol' try.. ZING.. that junk puts kool-aid to shame.. Never again with i sip another sip of that nasty junk.

I was in the Wal*mart shopping yesterday and behold i turn the corner and see the MULLET man.. i looked at him and had to turn the corner. This, my friends is what i think my dad invisions EVERYONE to be like in the south. The dude had a mullet that looked like it was permed.. ha ha... oh mercy.. every day is an adventure!!! I promise there are normal people out here !!

This little Piggie

Today Quin was taught how to say "Diaper." Her little way of saying it is : "Bi-per".. close... That's her big news of the day!!
Sissy went to vacation Bible School today and while she was there i painted Quins toes for the first time. Gave her something to distract her wandering ADD mind and it worked! she kept staring at them.. Thank goodnes for out the door polish that dries those puppies in minutes, or we would have polish all over our house ;)I took a cute picture of Lexi, quin and my toes.. it was amusing to me, so just play along!! i did this post because Miss Marrianne was so shocked months ago that i had not painted quins toes yet.. they just wiggled around too much -- so, Marr this ones for you!

Meet Maxx

This is the newest member of our family!! Last week when Grandma with with us, we came home to find this frog.. he's about the size of an adult fist. Well,,,, he comes back every other night! Lexi gets so excited every night she looks for him. So, she wanted to share him with you-today she came up with her 6 yr old master plan to get a jar for him to put in her room.. ah... no, sister.. but thanks for tryin -

look at my feet cause ya'll know out here there are lots o' bugs- i look down and see the ground MOVING-- i look closer and see a LINE 5 feet long at least and 2 inches wide of ants.. can i get away from these suckers?! first they take over my car and now they are outside of my home?!

i quick run back in the house and get my handy dandy Raid Ant spray .. and hold that can like a can o hairspray.. BAM!!! those suckers are all D-E-A-D....

As for the ants in my car.. luke took it to the car wash and vacuumed those little suckers up, and washed the car.. did you know that out here in the wash they clean your car with it has a bug spray in the wash?! HA ha..

** Not that any of you care,,,, but i was a little nervous finding a good hair person out here.. i found this cute lady at church that had hair that rocked so she gave me the name of the guy that does it.only 15 min from my house. hopefully he will hold a candle to my Cleme i Salem that did my hair. **
